Abstract :
Background: Recent studies have highlighted the increasing trend of assisted reproductive technology (ART) use among patients with low ovarian reserve. Diminished ovarian reserve is defined as depletion of quantity of eggs. Objective: To explore the efficiency of growth hormone adjuvant therapy among patients with poor ovarian reserve of Poseidon 4 group with previous failed IVF at an Apollo Fertility Clinic, at Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai. Materials and methods: A prospective study was planned among 30 patients with poor ovarian reserve of Poseidon 4 group (PG4, age ?35 years) with previous failed IVF attending the infertility clinic at Apollo Fertility, Navi Mumbai. Data was collected using a predesigned, pretested, semi-structured questionnaire from August 2022 to August 2024. The data was exported into Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet and analysis was done using SPSS version 23. Results: Mean age of study participants was 35.9 ? 2.54 years. Mean anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) reserve among participants was 0.95 ? .45. About three fourths (70.0%) of study participants had a positive outcome due to growth hormone adjuvant therapy. Conclusion: This study concludes that the beneficial effect of growth hormone adjuvant therapy among patients with poor ovarian reserve of Poseidon 4 group (PG4, age ?35 years) with previous failed IVF was high.
