Abstract :
Introduction: Heterotopic pregnancy is a complication in which extrauterine and intrauterine pregnancy occur simultaneously. This is rare condition usually common in females undergoing infertility treatments. CASE REPORT: A 32 year old Primi gravida with 7wks of gestation , referred to GGH, Srikakulam inview of hypovolemic shock from a district hospital. O/E : GC-pallor, BP:90/60mmHg, Temp- 98?F, RR-18/min, PR- 124/min. Abdomen tense tender.On perspeculum no bleeding pervaginum. investigations : Hb-7gm%, Blood group- B Positive, S.Creatinine-0.8mg/dl, RBS-109mg/d USG: Single live intrauterine gestation of 6 wks.Haemoperitoneum noted.There is a ruptured right sided tubal ectopic pregnancy also. DIAGNOSIS- Primi with 7 wks intrauterine gestation with right sided ruptured tubal ectopic pregnancy. DISCUSSION AND RESULTS: We proceeded for exploratory laprotomy after taking consent and right salpingectomy was done and left the intrauterine pregnancy undisturbed.Continued the pregnancy with regular followups and delivered a single live fch at 38 wks period of gestation thtough primary elective c- section. CONCLUSION: ? Successful pregnancy outcome after spontaneous Heterotopic pregnancy
