Abstract :
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate effects of being in water (head out under water immersion) in pregnancy in diagnosed cases of intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR) and oligohydramnios . METHODOLOGY: 16 patients diagnosed with IUGR or oligohydramnios at 28-32 weeks were included in study .Each patient was advised under water immersion daily for one hour. RESULTS: AFI increased in all patients. Average baby weight found in study was 2.37 kg (2.1-2.99 kg). CONCLUSION: Head out under water immersion is beneficial in pregnancy in diagnosed cases of IUGR or oligohydramnios.
