Title: Vaginoplasty ?Using The Same Septum-A Unique Approach? ? Dr. Ranjita Ekka, Dr. Ashok R. Anand ? INTRODUCTION: Transverse vaginal septum is a type of anomaly of female genital outflow tract. It?s incidence ranges from 1:2100 to 1:84000. Cyclic abdominal pain with Primary amenorrhea is one of the most significant & concerning complaints associated with it. ? AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To share our experiences in managing Transverse vaginal septum by vaginoplasty using the same septum as a flap. ? MATERIALS AND METHODS: Sharing a case of adolescent girl with transverse vaginal septum treated surgically by vaginoplasty using the same septum. ? RESULTS: Vaginoplasty using the same septum gives promising result with less complication like vaginal stenosis, preserving the reproductive function of adolescent girl & women. ? CONCLUSION: Vaginoplasty by reconstruction of vagina using the same septum offers satisfying outcome with preserved vaginal length and vaginal calibre. It has less post op complication like vaginal stenosis. Pt need no recurrent vaginal surgery
