Takayasu’s arteritis is rare disease involving inflammation of great vessels of the body. It is a large cell Vasculitis predominantly found in the Asian population with an annual incidence of 1.2 to 2.6 cases per million. The disease can be complicated by ischemic damage to organs and cardiovascular failure.
