Abstract :
A 29-year-old woman presented to the gynecology department with irregular vaginal bleeding,cough and weakness since 1 week and an elevated B-hcg levels.Patient had a history D and C for molar pregnancy. Prognostic risk score was >7.On XRay chest Right sided upper lobe opacity.On HRCT chest there were multiple well circumscribed nodules in bilateral lungs with subpleural prominence of 7*5.5cm. ?metastasis ?lymphoma. and an elevated hCG serum level. Patient was started on EMACO therapy. On trucut biopsy of lung Section studied shows markedly pleomorphic tumor cells with vesicular nuclei and abundant cytoplasm.Features are suggestive of Gestational Trophoblastic Tumor. CONCLUSIONS:. The conventional hCG monitoring criteria fails to detect the GTN timely. Imaging plays a crucial role in identifying and guiding the management.Timely management of this disorder is of great importance, which contributes to the application of chemotherapy in-time and the reduction of severe complications and deaths.
