Endometriosis is defined as a condition characterized by presence of functioning endometrial tissue (glands and stroma) in any site outside the uterine activity. Scar endometriosis, also called as incisional endometrioma, is a rare form of extra pelvic endometriosis, that occurs in those incisions where the endometrial tissue might come into contact. The caesarean section scar is the most common site of scar endometriosis. CASE REPORT : A 25years old P2L2 with 2 previous LSCS , tubectomised came with the complaint of pain at the site of caesarean scar more towards left side and at umbilical region since 1year. The pain was pricking type, non-radiating, intermittent, aggravated on doing work. On general examination patient was normal. At the time of admission, abdominal palpation revealed a 3x2 cms mass palpable below umbilicus on left side. Per vaginal examination was normal. INVESTIGATIONS ? On USG ? uterus of size 8.7x3.6x5.1 cm ? Small hypoechoic lesion in left rectus muscle measuring 3x1.5x1.0 cms in subumbilical region showing internal cystic areas-?chronic inflammatory-?scar endometriosis. Management ? Excision of scar endometriosis. Histopathological examination ? Features are those of Scar endometriosis.
